Tulsa Public Schools is the largest school district in Oklahoma. It serves over 41,000 students, in 59 elementary schools, 15 middle schools, and 9 high schools. There are also a number of private schools in the area, most have affiliations with various religious cultures, including Catholic, Jewish, and Protestant.
Tulsa has 14 institutions of higher education, including two private universities: the University of Tulsa, a school founded in 1894; and Oral Roberts University.
